Virtual reality combined training system- Neonatal Emergency Care

The Virtual reality combined training system for Neonatal Emergency Care is an advanced instructional tool that combines virtual and physical training. By connecting a manikin to a computer, it provides highly realistic neonatal emergency resuscitation training. The system transmits real-time data and analyzes the effectiveness of various operations, offering an immersive training experience. This ensures that trainees can master critical skills in an environment closely resembling actual clinical settings.

The system's features are extensive and versatile. It can recognize and evaluate the correct positioning of the infant, simulate the insertion and removal of a laryngoscope with internal imaging to guide the procedure, and accurately assess the placement of endotracheal intubation. For positive pressure ventilation, the system simulates chest rise and changes in the resuscitation bag, while coordinating chest compressions with ventilation to ensure synchronized resuscitation efforts, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the procedure. Additionally, it provides real-time feedback to help trainees optimize airway opening techniques and displays detailed data on chest compressions and positive pressure ventilation, including depth and rate, ensuring precise operation.

To enhance the realism of the training, the manikin automatically generates breathing and pulse, providing a more authentic physiological response for the trainees. The system also supports multiple viewing angles, including free, dual, X-ray, and cross-sectional perspectives, allowing trainees to observe the simulation from various angles. This multi-angle functionality not only improves their understanding of the procedures but also enhances their spatial awareness.

To further develop emergency response skills, the system includes a specialized module for training on acute foreign body obstruction, combining virtual and physical elements to prepare trainees for complex emergency situations. Moreover, it is equipped with a NICU Virtual Simulation Center, which offers a complete NICU environment for scene exploration and detailed explanations. This allows trainees to familiarize themselves with NICU workflows and equipment operations in a virtual setting, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world clinical scenarios. Through these comprehensive training modules, trainees can not only acquire core skills in neonatal emergency resuscitation but also gain confidence and competence in handling unexpected situations.
